FROM THE PRESIDENT,  JAN LADENDORF…

LWML MITE BOX SUNDAY  – Mite Box Sunday is the first Sunday of every month. These mites support our mission grants for the South Wisconsin District and the National LWML.  A big mite box is located on the LWML table in the entryway. You may deposit your mites there. (If you don’t have a mite box, there are some available on the LWML table.)

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF COLLECTION: We need the following items to complete the kits we will pack in September:

  • bath towels
  • nail clippers
  • 4 oz bars of IVORY soap
  • 70 sheet wide ruled spiral notebooks

You may place your items in the bin below the church mailboxes. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS!

SEPTEMBER MEETING will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gathering Room. We will be packing up our kits for Lutheran World Relief. We can use many hands. Please consider joining us. Bring your mites!

LWML SWD FALL RETREAT will be at Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, WI on September 19-21, 2019. Come and enjoy time with friends, old and new, as we “Serve the Lord with Gladness” through Servant Events, In-gatherings, Bible study and Devotions…with plenty of time for Relaxation, Fun, Music and Christian Fellowship. Our keynote speaker is Rev. Robert Rahn, Founder of Lutheran Heritage Foundations, and our Bible study leader is Karen Lippert from Divine Redeemer, Hartland. Registration forms can be found on the LWML table in the lower entryway.

DO YOU LIKE TO SEW OR CROCHET? The In-gathering items for the Fall Retreat will go to Bethesda Lutheran Community Homes. You may crochet prayer cloths, or sew clothing protectors. Patterns are on the LWML table in the lower entryway. Finished items may be placed in the bin in the mailroom no later than September 18, 2019. Thank you!
